Chapter 9 The Capture of Another huge Python

Teddy was fast asleep as the workers came in to work.As he slept through the morning, suddenly he felt someone lying on top of him and slowly kissing him.He was aroused from his sleep and as he opened his eyes he saw his female "kapala"lying on top of him.

He returned the good gestures made by Ah Chan and thereafter they were engaged sexually. When over he got up to drink the cup of coffee she had made for him."Ahh...... very sweet,warm and nice",he said." better get up before the Boss looked for me.In any case how is everything?"he asked."All in order,do not worry".she replied.

He pinched her cheek and got out of bed and went straight to clean himself.At the bungalow everyone were already up and having breakfast.Teddy joined them for the breakfast."Where shall we go after breakfast?",he asked."Take us to areas we have not covered.I think we are going home this evening after dinner so could you prepare fruits for us to take back?",said Rosie.

"No problems it be arranged",as he talked he was looking straight into Susan's eyes,but she appeared furious at him by looking away.Now why was she angry he thought.Thinking back he remembered carrying up Rosie at the orchard with Rosie falling on top of him.Yes without a doubt she was jealous.When she turned to glance a little at him he cheekily winked at her but she immediately turned away again.

While consuming his food a female worker suddenly came and report of another python
under the bushes of pineapple plants.He instructed the worker to get the guard as he devoured his food in haste.Before he left for the pineapple plot all the visitors insisted in joining him in the hunt for the python.

On arriving at the pineapple plot the guard was already there,peeping at a python which was coiled up among some plants,a seemingly good and well camouflaged hiding place for that creature.It appeared to have swallowed something big within its bulging mid section and was not able to move fast.

The guard slowly lured it head out and roped it.Having done that he pulled the snake out of it hiding place.It was a slightly shorter python than the one caught at night.When exposed outside the python offered not much resistance as it was loaded with food in its stomach and it had appeared to have swallow a small dog," Oh the farm},shouted a worker.

The snake was tied to a long stick with its head secured to the stick and the whole snake stretched along the pole and well secured with small plastic strings.The guard and a female worker carried it back to the office site.The stunt visitors followed what had transpired with the ultimate captured of the snake.

Many ripe pineapples were harvested from that plot.Teddy appeared thirsty and cut opened a ripe pineapple to quench his thirst.He sliced some for the visitors and he tried to make Susan smile by offering her a piece but she shyly passed it away not wanting to converse with him.What to do as she was still angry with him.

Nearby were some papaya trees and he plucked all the ripe ones.Cutting one big one he again offered her a big piece,before he could give it to her some one shouted."that papaya surely is very big",said one of the ladies.Susan replied to shoved that piece away but Teddy,"They are not talking about you".and all around heard and laughed,"yeah we are not talking about your papaya".

Feeling shy she meekly smiled and accepted that piece of papaya.Eating it she murmured."This surely is very sweet".Teddy winked at her and she smiled back.Yes,all were forgiven."How many papayas shall I harvest for you all?,asked Teddy."AAya plucked as many as possible lah",said Rosie.

With plenty of time remaining Teddy suggested they go swimming in the pool further upstream in the farm."yes,why not?"agreed Rosie. " Can we we bring along some food to barbecue them there on the spot?"."Well,"replied Teddy "I don't see why not.I will get my workers to arrange for the food and drinks for the outings".

Within half an hour everyone were ready for the event.Teddy drove them there within minutes.The pool was just a boarder part of the flowing stream.Water is clear and very cold.Almost immediately most were in the pool of water.Rosie and her friends were in their swim wears,all reviewing their personal qualifications.What a lovely sight to behold.All the ladies in swim wear and the sole man admiring them was only Teddy.

There was the beautiful Susan showing off her fair,shapely body in almost a bikini and gorgeous Rosie was not far in dressing behind her.The rest of the ladies had normal swim wears.The morning sun was shinning marvelously but as the area had a few fruit trees around the pool was not at all effect by the hot sun.In fact the short fruit trees offered plenty of shades for all to lie around.With a strong breeze blowing all day where else is better than this place.

The pool was seemingly very small and the water seemingly cool.With all in it,there was hardly space to move about let alone swim.No swimming actually as the water only waist high.Dipping in it and cooling off was equally wonderful.Teddy being the only male was too shy to join them in the tiny pool.Rosie's children were having a fine time splashing the water around.

Very soon the workers had arrived with the food and drinks including young coconuts.Teddy instructed a worker to built a fire for the barbecue.With the fire ignited and burning Teddy began to roast some of the meat.By then Rosie his Boss was also up from the dipped in the pool.Teddy offered her what he had roasted."Never mind ",said Rosie,"I will barbecue them myself".

Taking some chicken wings she began roasting herself.Seeing that Teddy eating what he had roasted,just as Susan was also present there and he offered Susan what he had roasted.She accepted them hastily, devoured them."Aaaya???",she shouted","you don,t know how to roast them lah ,not tasty at all".

"That was why I did not accept his offers",replied Rosie"he don't know how to roast them lah"."And you Susan thinking that You have the best ate them.Now you know why I did not accept them".Getting fed up Teddy got up and said,"In this case You all roast them yourself".All laughed sheepishly at Teddy.

Before long all were enjoying their picnic.Seeing the children fishing with hooks along the stream,Teddy said to them "Do you want me to teach you how to spear small fish with the hook? I meant the "Alsi" way"
"How?" asked the children.Teddy took a hook from them to straighten it,with it straighten he attached the hook to a straight thin stick.Tightly securing it with a tiny string or thread.With that complete - they appeared to to be a tiny spears.

With that he began searching for small fish along the sides of the stream.Finding them he slowly took aim to pierce the fish, with many times missing,but after a series of trials he successfully got a few fish- very tiny ones of course.The kids were exited and took over the spearing of fish.Well they achieved no success but nevertheless they enjoyed their hunting.A new experience indeed for urban kids.

The stream was not deep so he left the kids alone to enjoy themselves.With everything in order Teddy made excuses with Rosie and left to attend to his other jobs at hand in the farm.Thus the visitors were left alone to enjoy themselves at the pool area.His workers also saw to that the visitors had huge variety of fruits to eat.

At noon Teddy return to find Rosie his Boss sleeping under a durian tree,what a cozy afternoon for her?.The rest were still roasting whatever there were.On nearing the site Teddy was taken aback at what they roasting.Yes they were roasting ting fishes speared apparently by the kids.

"Wah! Barbecue fish huh???",asked Teddy."Yes"they replied,"you have taught the kids well.They have speared some fish for us to roast"."They surely are very smart,learning so fast","even "Asli" cannot do perform better",said Teddy.Teddy wanted to get near to Susan but his move was aborted with the wakening up of Rosie.


I think we have enjoyed sufficiently and time to go back",said Rosie.With that they called the kids up from the stream."No no need to clear the place my workers will do that,so leave it just to them",said Teddy.With that all readily climbed up the jeep and all left for the farm's bungalow.

In the jeep Rosie thanked Teddy for teaching the kids a new method how to spear fish.That surely something many urban children never knew.So the kids learn something new here at the farm and enjoyed themselves tremendously.All were extremely tired at the bungalow and coconut water was again served to refresh them

Lunch followed after some time,as usual wild chicken curry,roasted duckling and vegetables from the farm.All rested as the afternoon was seemingly very hot.Some of the female folks especially Rosie started playing "mahjong".remaining ladies played cards.

Tea was served,Teddy had his cook prepared some fried "meehoong" and noodles,besides the normal tea ,coffee and cakes.That was very thoughtful of him as the guests were expected to drive straight home,so the slightly heavy tea was well received by all.Susan as normal went fishing,this time around all joined her,so nothing between her and Teddy happened in front of so many.

Rosie had never fished before tried her hands in fishing.Since it was the Boss who wanted to fish that evening he had his special rod well prepared.As soon as Rosie arrive with the rest at the fish pond he passed his fishing rod over to her.To the rest he gave other rods.With fishing rods in hand the guests began fishing at various spot around the pond.

Susan stood some distance away from Rosie as she did not want to make it difficult for Teddy who must entertain his Boss first.It did not take long before we saw some actions,for the Boss suddenly got a jerked of something very heavy.Initially she appeared to be having a tugged of war with something extremely strong in the pond.She used all her strength but the thing below refused to bulge an inch.

Finding that she was in difficulties those around shouted to Teddy for help.He rushed to her aid immediately.He pulled the rod together with Rosie but still the "fish" below refused to bulge.Finding no other alternative other than cutting the string Teddy himself went into the pond.Guided by the gut hooking strongly to the "fish" he reached the end of it.At first he thought a "fish" was entangled among some twigs or so,but no to his utter astonishment he discovered that it was a huge turtle at the other end.

Inevitably he was forced to dive deep in, to secure hold of the thing at the end,and then struggled to haul it up.To his amazement he lifted up a huge turtle,little wander it was fighting so strong and hard.Having lifted it up to water level,he asked Rosie to rolled in her fishing guts as he helped to push the turtle to the side of the pond.The huge turtle was pulled up to the ground and every one rushed to view and marveled the sight of it.

"What shall we do we do with it?",asked Rosie."Cook it?"said someone from behind.Everyone were smiling Rosie looked at Teddy and said,"I think we released it back into the pond".Teddy said,"As you wish,Boss"."Let it go will be good omen for us and will bring us good luck,so release it,but at least write my name on it and the date it was capture",said Rosie.

So Teddy got some paint and wrote what was suggested by the Boss,following the turtle was released back into the fish pond."The markings will denote that this turtle belongs to me,and no one can capture it.Teddy I think you have to instruct someone to feed it daily"."Surely will be done,Boss,we have plenty of the "kangkong" to feed it daily,no problem",replied Teddy.

No one was happier than the Boss herself as she apparently has done something good for the day in saving the turtle.Feeding the turtle hopefully will stop it from eating the fishes in the pond.The rest continued fishing but with no success.Soon it was time for dinner.They were served again with young coconut drinks before they retire to bathe themselves before dinner.

Chapter 8 THe Python

At the break of dawn while the holiday makers were still in bed the native guard had shot down a monkey with his blow-pipe.He brought it back to his shed to slaughter.Initially he built a small fire by the side of his hut and tying the dead monkey to a long stick he began roasting the monkey over the fire,was he roasting the monkey?.No,he was just burning away all its hair from its hairy body.

The burning emitted some foul smelling spoiling the cool clean air of a very lovely morning,wakening Teddy who looked out to find out what was burning.That beautiful morning with the sun about to rise up from the distance horizon,at that very moment many of the workers were already set out to work in the fields.He saw from a distance the native guard burning the monkey's hair.A common affair for the native for that was the way they removed the hair on the body of the monkey.It took a lot of patient to burn off all the hair without burning the body of the monkey.

The bad odor flew all over the place,that too,also woke up the visitors in the bungalow, as all wandered and were curios what was on fire.Teddy quickly woke up to clean himself then went towards the bungalow to explain to the Boss what was happening."Oh.I see the guard is slaughtering a monkey",said the Boss Rosie.Some of the visitor in fact went out to see how the monkey was burnt.

By then all the hair on the body was burnt off and the bulging body of the dead monkey was cut opened with all the organs and intestines ripped off,remaining were a smelly red bloody liquid.The guard poured those liquid into a small container,saying to all,"Ini tonic banyak bagus untok badan",said the guard. (Meaning" This liquid is very good tonic for the body").Anyway he was the one to consume those liquid and no one else dared request for a taste of it,not even Teddy.

Thereafter he set up the body of the monkey with sticks support and then smoked it.Apparently that will be food reserved for any eventually rainy days ahead.Smoked dry and stored by hanging near the roof of the hut - no need refrigerator."What a funny way to store food",said Rosie.

Then they went back to the bungalow to wash their faces and for a change of clothing before breakfast.By this time some workers brought in some durians they have collected."Anyone want durain for breakfast",asked Teddy."Aaya,just open some lah,and don't make so much noise",said Rosie.So some durains were opened as the smelly smell of durain spewed all over.

"What alovely smell of durian so early in the morning.I love it Durian for breakfast",said Susan as she was coming out of her room."Yeah.we are very lucky to come here at the right time to enjoy the first durians of this farm",replied Rosie."Come,come every one pick your choosing breakfast or durians or have both at the same time".

Apparently everyone had a heavy breakfast and were quite reluctant to move."I think today we allow the workers to harvest the fruits for us and we just moved around freely",said a quiet Lucy.All agreed including the kids.With that Teddy instructed two female workers to go round plucking ripe fruits,harvesting as many as possible fo the visitors will be leaving the next day.

When they had rested sufficiently Rosie signaled all to get ready to go into the field and she sent a worker to request the presence of Teddy when they go round the orchard.When Teddy was finally there she instructed Teddy to lead them to those parts they had not covered."Are we going to walk or go by jeep?",he asked them."Aaya ,we have put on a lot of weight these three days,let us walk,lah,is it okay with all of you?",she asked.All agreed with a nob."In that case,please carry more drinking water with you before we begin',said Teddy.

With everyone ready they off on foot.In the beginning the stroll was fun,plucking fruits and eating them along the way and drinking their water,but it was no long when the water they carrying were finished either drank off or used to wash their hands and left with no water in hand.Poor things as they were some distance from home,with all yawning for water as thirst began to set in,some wanted to go back to quench their thirst.Fortunately had the present of mind in ordering two workers to follow them some distance away with water clapped hard to them to bring in the water.With that they had the necessary water to quench their thirst.

"Smart move,huh?Teddy?".said Susan."Well I know this was going to happen,so I told them to follow with the extra water.Rosie nob with approval as they rested under some trees.Fortunately there was a light breeze blowing to keep them real cool.Following Teddy took them to the pineapple patch where some ripe fruits were collected."Wah!!! so big pineapples,why huh?",said one of Rosie's son."Oh that is the Sarawak pineapples and over there smaller pineapples some Thai varieties",explained Teddy.

The workers collected some of the ripe pineapples.Teddy ordered the workers to sliced up two of the pineapples for the guest to taste on the spot.The pineapples were tasty just simply tasted real nice and wonderful, as well as a thirst quench,coming in at the most well come time.All the guests apparently enjoyed those fruits.In actual fact two were insufficient but Rosie stopped further cutting of more because lunch was ready at the bungalow.

"I have planted some dragon fruits over the other side but not matured as yet so no fruiting"."I see got Cikgu tree also.let us go over to see got ripe fruits or not?".said Rosie.On seeing some big ones she tried to pluck them by jumping up but to no avail as she could not reach them.Seeing Teddy at hand she ordered Teddy to carry her up hoping the extra height will be able to pluck those Cigku.In haste Teddy grabbed her from the front and lifted her up.

As she tried to reach those fruits she felt tickled by Teddy's lifting her with both arms.When she she was upward bound she could feel Teddy's face on her private parts and she giggled with the tickle .Her intense wriggling caused Teddy to slip and she crushed on him.She fell on top of Teddy pinning Teddy on the ground and everyone seeing that laughed hilariously.The blushed Teddy dared not shoved his Boss awy and allowed to lay on him for a while.The embarrassed Boss finally crawled up and all around assisted them up as well.

"Never mind about those fruits I will instruct the workers to pluck them later",said Teddy looking shyly away."Alright,do what you can",said Rosie smiling a little.With that they came to some mangoes tress but there were no ripe fruits but Lily insisted on plucking some raw ones to eat with "chilli sambai" sauce."No need to pluck them ourselves,i will get the workers to harvest them for you",said Teddy."No lah,why don't you and Rosie plucked them for us",said Lucy and every one began to laugh."Very funny,come Teddy we plucked for them",said Rosie angrily."No need I have instructed the workers to do it",said Teddy smiling at her and she winked back at him without anyone noticing but Susan saw the whole thing with an annoying jealous heart.

She did not even talked to Teddy during lunch.As usual a very nice lunch was served with local dishes.After that the ladies played mahjong while the children watched television."This evening all will go fishing,agreed?",said Rosie.Teddy said that he will have to prepare the wild boar for roasting and had to set up every thing as the workers were not well versed with it.Then Rosie agreed to fish on their own.Susan also agreed to go along.She was definitely upset with Teddy with his wrestling with Rosie earlier.

The roasting began quite early and two workers were asked to rotate the wild boar at stake with a fire below.Applying magerine as they rotate the wild boar round and round.When dinner was served they were still at it,for that was for supper,much later in the evening.It was surely smelling good all the way.By night fall the boar was ready to be served and Teddy curved the wild boar slicing it in thin layers for each of the guests and with the sauce prepared it surely tasted excellent.Everyone ate to their heart's content.

It was all over by 11.00 p.m. with the night breeze blowing wildly signifying of impending rain.Truly the rain slowly set in,initially in tiny drops then increased in velocities.The heavy shower soon came to past.

Deep in the cold,cold silence of the night which was broken by some cries of chicken among the short fruit tresses.Awaken by them Teddy set out to investigate with a very bright torch light.At the same time the native guard was also around to investigate where those sound came from.

The torch light of Teddy caught the eyes of a huge slimy creature among the bushes near to a durian tree.It was a huge python roughly about five metres long.The snake was big in its mid section having apparently swallow a chicken and was swallowing another.The guard immediately armed himself and Teddy with two long poles which had had Y-shaped branching at one end.

The snake could not escape as its was swallowing a chicken.The chicken appeared to be stuck in its throat.So Teddy administered the fork like end at the head of the python stopping it from moving its head.With its head lodged in the fork of the pole the snake was wriggling slowly about but its big belly apparently slowing it down.The guard quickly got hold a gunny sack to shove the tail end of the snake into that gunny bag.

There was a strong struggle by the snake but Teddy and the guard finally overpowered it and had it in the gunny bag.The open end of the sack was well secured thereafter.They brought back the sack and locked it in a cage specially built for pythons.Suspecting there could be other snakes around he and the guard went round trying to trace them if any still around.Well,they lost a few chicken judging by some feathers on the ground.They went round but found nothing.

Rosie was awakened by those noises and when Teddy was near the bungalow asked him what they problem was."Well we just caught a huge python which was stealing our chickens",said Teddy."What are you going to do with it?',she asked."Well.well,maybe we make snake soup with it?,is it okay?",asked Teddy."He Yah,not for me you can take all our shares",said Rosie."No.lah,just joking,we will sell it away for a few ringgit",said Teddy.

When all was over it was past 2.00 a.m. in the morning and the cockrel about to crow.Everyone were yawning and extremely tired and retired to bed.Teddy had difficulties in sleeping at first and rowed about in bed,but tiredness soon overcame him and he dozed off.

That night passed without further disturbances.
