Chapter 12 Breeding Of Wild Boars In The Farm

Next morning at least two workers were deployed to skin those animal shot. The first to be skinned were the the flying foxes, but the wild boar was not skinned so were the "musang" or foxes.Instead their burnt over a fire to remove their long hair. The skin if roasted or cooked is very crunchy and tasty. Another two workers were sent out to locate those missing flying foxes wounded the night before.

Teddy further instructed the cook to prepare dry curry with two of the flying foxes and further instructed her to prepare a good dinner of other dishes for a dinner that night as he had guest to entertain.Teddy also instructed the guard to keep the farm,s gate locked as early as possible that evening to prevent intruders or hunters to venture into the farm to hunt for flying foxes.

Further he also instructed the guard to stay on the spot that following evening to shot down any flying foxes coming in to destroy the rambutan fruits.Day time th guard was also busy preparing his food, the shot "musang" and Flying fox.Of course this Asli has his own way of cooking them.Perhaps he might he might just smoke them over a slow fire and sved that for a rainy day.

Later that noon Rosie called to say she was coming in for the afternoon,so Teddy hastily instructed the cook to cook all the flying foxes for the Boss to take home. One of the fox was cooked in herds also to be given to the Boss.

Teddy went to check at the damages done by the flying foxes but the damages was relatively negligible as they were disturbed chased away by the guard and Teddy. It is likely they would return for some food the following evening but Teddy had the guard ready for them.He had expected another good hunt.

That noon the rain came and disrupted the work on the farm. Many of the workers were caught in the rain so Teddy allowed them to go home thereafter except a few workers as Rosie was expected to come in.Ripe fruits in the fields were also collected for the Boss to take home.

Lunch was ready by the time Rosie came in and properly laid out for her.She came a little later bringing a friend with her, another charming and adorable woman.Rosie introduced her as Carol."Mdm. Carol" so he called her." Wat a lovely farm you have here,Rosie",inquired Carol." Your manager a handsome guy too",said Carol.

"Sure,he is handsome and efficient, too",said Rosie."I can see that",retorted Carol."See the fruits he had gathered for for and see the nice lunch set for us.
Rosie sat on at the lunch table together with Carol and told Teddy to join them at the same time.

"Oh,is this the flying fox curry,I must taste it.If good I want to take some home for dinner with my family",she said."It is all prepared and nicely packed{,said Teddy."Oh how thoughtful of you Teddy", replied Rosie.Tasting the curry she exclaimed loudly,"Hmmmmm...What a lovely tasty curry, your cook is very good', said Rosie.Carol nob in agreement.

"I will tell my cook to pack some for you to take home too",said Teddy.:Why? anyway thank you",said Carol. They joked a lot over lunch.Carol looked very impressed with the farm, begged to be shown around the farm.Teddy looked at her Boss who agreed almost immediately."Very well",said Teddy "We shall go one round the farm",said Teddy."Thank you", replied Carol.

Earlier in the morning Teddy had instructed his workers to wrapped up all the fruitlets of the Pamerloes trees. The Pameloes fruitlets were due for wrapping up to protect them from fruit flies and other insects.Old newspaper were deployed for the wrapping. The whole process was quite slow and tedious as there were selection of fruitlets t be done as too many fruits on one single branching may reduce the size of the fruits as it grow bigger

So as they passed the pamerloes patch Carol was surprised at those wrappings with old newspaper on the trees and Teddy had to explained to them why that had to be done."Are your fruits good?',asked Carol."Well,I have plucked a few for you all to take home.Try them later then you know that my fruits were as good as Tambun"s".
"That is very nice of you",she said.

AS they passed the rambutan area they saw two workers trying to retrieve a wounded flying fox from a tree. "What is that?,asked Rosie."Oh,just a flying fox shot yesterday but we failed to locate it in the night.Teddy stopped his jeep for them to go down to have a good look at the wounded flying fox.

The wounded flying fox by then was lying on the ground opened its mouth crying aloud as if to defend its self showing its teeth."What a fierce little fellow",said Carol.
Is that the same type of creature we ate just now',asked Rosie."Yes,it is the same.We have to shoot them otherwise they will destroy our fruits",said Teddy.

On completing their round they came to the place where chickens were fed, only to met with a pleasant surprise.Yes,a wild boar apparently had been trapped within the fenced area where the chickens were fed.It struggled to escape from that enclosure but to no avail, she,a female boar is trapped within along with two piglets. It seem the others had escaped into the surroundings.

Teddy pondered over what to do with it."kill it and slaughtered it",said a worker.?No,no,we will keep it in a cage',said Teddy. He then ordered his workers to lay a cage in the enclosed area and told his workers to skilfully drove the boar into it.Well,it was no easy task. After many trials and errors they finally put that female boar into the small cage which was just fitted for one big pig.

In it the boar could not move much.Teddy had her carried to a short distance away placing it under a fruit tree.Thereafter left some food and water for her. With her secured they left the boar alone in the cage, and sooner had they left the piglets which had escaped soon crowd round that cage, some feeding on the food provided while others drank milk from the mother boar.

By so doing,Teddy this had a team of wild boar under his care. Now he can claimed to be the breeder of those boar. The wild boars soon came accustomed to the farm's workers who every now and than supplied them food.In fact the were semi-tamed by the workers. How far he can go along with this plan is left to be seen.

"Really, not a bad idea.let us see that worked",said Rosie.By that time it was already late afternoon,Teddy arranged tea for them. After the tea it was time for Rosie and Carol to leave. They left with the curry flying foxes and some fruits.
The Boss gave Teddy a loving wink promising to come back the following day.

Teddy return to his work. But the workers were preparing to go home so there was nothing much to do.Next he had to see that the cook had cooked sufficient food for his dinner with Susan who was due to come in later.A thigh of the wild boar shot the night before was set to be roasted. The cook was kind enough to do the roasting for him before she call it a day and left.

The guard also checked in and Teddy gave him sufficient ammunition to hunt down those flying foxes. He also allowed to get anther Asli to help him collect any flying bats shot.He told to hunt without him as he would e busy entertaining Susan.

Slowly that evening came with dark clouds clouding the over head sky with the wind feverishly breezing heavily through the farm with promises of impending rain.It was 6.30 p.m. when Susan finally arrived.Teddy welcome his love with open arms and they kissed sweetly.Following he led her into his dinning room where lunch was already set.The lovely Susan also brought along some goodies, nevertheless they had the dinner Teddy had set out for her.

Having her first taste of the curry he cried out,"What meat is this I am eating,so very nice?",asked Susan."Flying fox",said Teddy."Oh,no wonder it tasted so different and it is also well cooked",she said."Eat more of it then",he replied<"I have also prepared some for you to take home".Oh,thank you,my love",said Susan.

They relaxed on a sofa sipping wine after dinner talking and joking. It was a lovely evening for both of them.Thereafter they went to bed.It was still drizzling as they retired to bed and it rained until almost midnight.Teddy loved Susan very much and she shared his feelings for her.Unfortunately she was married and slightly older than him.Did that bother him???? No,never love is blind so they say,how very true.

About midnight he was awakened by the guard who came back from shooting flying foxes and it seem he had collected about fifteen of them.Teddy instructed the guard and his worker to slaughter those bats and leave them in the Cold box. Then he returned to be with Susan in bed.Teddy also told the guard to take home whatever he required.

Teddy also gave the guard what remained of the roasted wild boar. There was a lot of meat remaining as both he and Susan could not eat so much that evening.Soon it was morning And Susan left in her own car at the break of dawn, thus avoiding all the workers who will be reporting for duty.As she was leaving she gave Teddy an reluctant kiss on his lips. That kiss was worth a million,oh boy,and what a kiss?.

The first to come in was naturally his "kapala" Ah Chan. She had to see teddy regarding jobs to be distributed to the workers.Teddy pulled her into his room and had some tender moments with her. What a happy bachelor was he?????.
